Fred Stone
Fred Stone is an expert in cave fauna and cave management, as well as the taxonomy of cave cockroaches. He has an M.Sc. in Entomology from Cornell University and a Ph. D. from the University of Hawaii. He recently retired from teaching at the Hawaii Community College and is now an environmental consultant. Experience includes:
- Biological surveys of lava tubes in Hawaiian volcanoes
- Researching the evolution of Nemobiinae crickets in the Hawaiian islands
- Researching the relationships of nocticolid coackroaches
